Diagnosed as an intermediate level
schizoid in
childhood, Mikel was placed in a Roman Catholic
boarding school from
the age of 12.
At the age of 25
years, he graduated in psychology at the University Complutense of Madrid (
His schizoid condition has always been a source of discomfort to him.
Mikel is married, without children.
In April 2002 he was diagnosed with: Neurasthenia (ICD-10
:F48), and Schizoid Personality
Disorder (ICD-10 : F 60.1).
This diagnosis confirmed a previous one made by the same institution, the
University Clinic of Navarra (
Mikel’s degree of the Schizoid condition is termed intermediate, or medium.
At the age of 52 he retired as a result of chronic fatigue (Neurasthenia).
He lives in
Mikel’s personal experience of life as a schizoid, forms the foundation of this
website
