Why Can’t I Have
The shortcomings
of being schizoid
BECAUSE we lack the ability
to form attachments and establish ties.
Others establish emotional ties. We
do not.
BECAUSE they are driven by their emotions, we are
not.
Their emotional world
is foreign to us.
BECAUSE we find no pleasure in social contact. They, however, find social contact pleasurable.
BECAUSE we withdraw from them. Their inane conversation does not interest us.
We become
bored and move away.
As a
result, they move away from us. When it comes to fun and chatting, we are not
good partners.
